Why is it important for people with diabetes?
Lipodystrophies are fat abnormalities caused by the lipogenic effect of insulin. Insulin lipodystrophies represent the most frequent skin complication found in people with diabetes on insulin therapy. This complication has a strong psychological impact on people with diabetes, due to its aesthetically disturbing appearance, as well as a serious impact on blood sugar management resulting from an increase in insulin requirements when insulin is injected into areas of the skin affected by lipodystrophy, thus leading to unexpected hypoglycemias or hyperglycemias.

What is Colipex?

How is it used?
